JCRC is the central public affairs arm of the Jewish community, representing Bay Area synagogues and Jewish organizations. As an organization built on the ideals of "policy by consensus", each of our member organizations has the opportunity to play an active role in forming the policy positions of the organized Jewish community.
JCRC membership is actively engaged in the process of dialogue, education, and consensus making. In the end, the policy positions reflect both the values of the Jewish community and a collective sense about a particular issue, serving as a guide for the actions of the JCRC.
