Even if you've never heard the term “election stress disorder” before, you can likely imagine to what it's refering. Feelings about tomorrow's election are running deeper than any election in living memory. In response, community groups are putting together a variety of gatherings, not to watch the results roll in or to rally the faithful, but rather to engage in healing from the strain.
Here's a roundup of local events in which you might want to participate:
Monday through Friday, November 2 to November 6, "Interfaith Election Healing Services," Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County | 7:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 4, "The Day After: A Post-Election Community Gathering," JCC East Bay, JFCS East Bay, and JCRC | 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 4, "Prophets and Poets: An Interfaith Service for the Common Good," San Francisco Interfaith Council | 6:00 p.m.
Friday, November 6, "The Stakes Are High: Post-Election Analysis," Jewish Together Post-Election Webinar | 11:00 a.m.
