This bold, new plan is built on the premise that the two flanks of JCRC’s mission statement – “building a just society and a secure Jewish future” – are more than just complementary: they are interdependent.
The Bay Area will not truly be just until our Jewish community feels seen, included and secure. JCRC will strengthen our relationship-building work, expand our civic-leadership trips to Israel and facilitate professional trainings for local and state-level elected officials, ethnic and interfaith community partners, and leaders in K-12 and higher education. Through these efforts, we seek to uproot antisemitism and the delegitimization of Israel. Of equal importance, we strive to embolden a community in the Bay Area and the Golden State that celebrates and lifts us up as Jewish Americans, in all the complexities of our identities, and to demonstrate clearly: WE BELONG HERE.
