The Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative (JCMHI) provides essential mental health support for the Jewish community. JCRC Bay Area is proud to be a partner in supporting JCMHI’s mission to reduce stigma and promote mental wellness through free weekly support groups, educational programs, and accessible care.

Free Weekly Support Groups

JCMHI offers free weekly virtual support groups for various groups within the Jewish community, including Jewish adults, LGBTQ+ Jews, graduate students, descendants of Holocaust survivors, Hebrew speakers, Jewish olim, faculty and staff on campuses, Jews in LA affected by wildfires, and retirees. All groups are facilitated by volunteer licensed psychologists and mental health providers. All facilitators are trained in Psychological First Aid (PFA), which is an evidence-informed approach for providing support to individuals after traumatic events.
